Open Call: Host The LIBER Journées Leadership Programme 2020

LIBER is looking for a new host for its renowned LIBER Journées programme.

Aimed at library directors who are already in leadership positions in their institution, the Journées course focuses on how directors can deliver strategic change as libraries and institutions redefine and transform themselves in a dynamic information and social environment. It is organised by LIBER’s Leadership Programmes Working Group

The new host should be a major Research School/Institute or University Library, located in an attractive European city and internationally easily accessible.

If your organisation is interested in hosting, please confirm your interest to Liisi Lembinen (liisi.lembinen@ut.ee) by 31 August 2018. Questions about the organisational and practical aspects of the event can be directed to Cecile Swiatek (cecile.swiatek@gmail.com). Full applications will be required by 31 October 2018.

There will also be a LIBER Journées in 2022. If you have an interest in hosting this, please express your interest for this as well.

THE LIBER JOURNÉES PROGRAMME: KEY FACTS

The LIBER Journées programmes runs over three days (in 2015 and 2017 from Wednesday lunchtime – Friday lunchtime, ideally in May). It attracts 25 library directors and up to eight international speakers from a range of leadership backgrounds. It is organized by LIBER’s Leadership Programmes Working Group. The Director of the host institution will be directly involved in the preparation and planning of the programme, and will participate in the event itself.
