The Open Library – Financial and Human Aspects

Warsaw, April 12 – April 15, 2000; Pre-seminar tour: April 10 – April 11

Seminar theme:

The theme for the 2000 Seminar reflected the trend towards open planning in the design of library buildings, and the conference included a number of case studies of recent buildings as well as papers which explored the ways in which human interaction is facilitated by building design. The seminar also examined the financing of building projects, drawing on the experience of a number of institutions of different approaches to this key area.

Seminar venue:
The seminar venue was the new University Library of Warsaw at the banks of the river Vistula in the centre of Warsaw.
